Currently we have fullfilled our goals for the year and will be holding the last CARE Orientation Class on May 1, 2008 at 2 pm. This will be our last CARE Orientation. All our funds have been allocated to this years home repairs and will not be accepting any applications. If you wish you may contact us in the month of June to check availability. Thank you.

UU HAC’s Construct Advise Rehabilitate Educate (CARE) program is an Owner Occupied Rehabilitation program serving residents of City Council Districts 1, 2 & 5. Rehabilitation is done to the four major components of the home which are the foundation, roofing, electrical and plumbing systems. Anything other than the stated is concidered to be extra and will be addressed only if funding is available. Any cosmetic add-ons will not be addressed.

Residents must submit an application to participate in the program and must be:

  • The occupying home-owner
  • Current on property tax payments
  • Meet the 80% Median Area Income guideline
  • Have homeowner’s insurance
  • Are in good credit standing
  • Must attend the CARE Orientation Class

CARE Orientation Class are held every Thursday at 2 pm in the Conference Room at our Office located at 221 W. Poplar. Please see map for directions. Last Orientation will be held May 1, 2008 at 2 pm.

Qualified participants will be offered low interest loans from 0% to 4%, depending on qualifying criteria.
